Our impact
Creating lasting change requires dedication, passion, and careful analysis. At Pro México Indígena / Pro Mazahua, we apply statistics, research, and meticulous tracking to all our projects and initiatives.
Only through this can we know what is working well and what is not. Every year, we monitor our progress and make modifications to develop more effective and impactful projects for indigenous peoples.
How do we measure impact?
We measure our impact through the quantification of progress in our Impact Indicators, which are collected in periodic assessment exercises, both at the project level and intervention level, based on our Sustainable Integral Development Model.
Each evaluation we conduct is designed to show areas of opportunity and strengths that our projects have when implemented in the field, as well as integration and possible modification depending on their performance and interaction with indigenous communities.
For example, when seeking to measure the performance of our projects within our Food Security Action Line, we set up the necessary mechanisms and questions to assess the availability, access, and consumption of healthy and nutritious food in terms of quality and quantity.
This exercise is repeated in each of our 12 Action Lines, establishing research questions, both quantitative and qualitative, that can provide a comprehensive overview of the evolution of indigenous communities in their pursuit of integral development.
